"Life-long learning through attitude, academics, and accountability."

The Big Horn County School District #4 welcomes you to our website.  We want to make this site all inclusive in providing information about our academic goals and progress, the Wyoming State standards, and our activities.  We hope to foster student, parent, teacher, and community partnerships that will enhance the success of every student.

Approximately 300 students in K-12 attend the schools in our District.  Riverside High School and Laura Irwin Elementary are located in Basin, Wyoming.  Cloud Peak Middle School and Manderson Elementary  are in Manderson, Wyoming.  Our teachers are all certified and highly qualified in the areas they teach and strive to provide a personal, positive education for all students.  Each school is NCA accredited and decisions relating to academics are based on data.  The curriculum is rigorous and meets the requirements of the Hathaway Success Curriculum.

We encourage parent involvement in the educational process and we count on that as a major factor in our students' success in school.  Parents contribute extensively to this partnership by ensuring good attendance, good behavior, supporting and helping with homework, and by building communication with the teachers/staff.
