"Life-long learning through attitude, academics, and accountability."
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Big Horn County School District #4. I am glad that you are visiting our website. This website has been designed with our parents, students, and community in mind. Thanks for taking the time to learn more about our school district. For parents, I hope this website will help inform you of your child's education. I know that informed parents and community members are our greatest allies as we strive to improve academic achievement for every student in every classroom.
Approximately 300 students in K-12 attend the schools in our District. Riverside High School and Laura Irwin Elementary are located in Basin, Wyoming. Cloud Peak Middle School and Manderson Elementary are in Manderson, Wyoming. Our teachers are all certified and highly qualified in the areas they teach and strive to provide a personal, positive education for all students. Each school is NCA accredited and decisions relating to academics are based on data. The curriculum is rigorous and meets the requirements of the Hathaway Success Curriculum.
As superintendent, I have a personal vision that our schools will develop good citizens who are prepared for the workforce, and are leaders of the future, by providing a world-class education for the families of Big Horn 4. I am humbled and honored to provide system-wide leadership to help our schools achieve this goal.
Our district has very dedicated employees. I am convinced that the success of our school system depends on the skills and talents of these outstanding employees who partner with parents and community. Please explore our website to learn more about the many programs and resources that are available to students and families. You may contact us directly through email or on the phone; we would be happy to answer your questions or help in any way.
