Laura Irwin Elementary is a community where we strive to help our children reach their full potential and become well-rounded students. Academic excellence is achieved through a strong curriculum that recognizes individual differences. In a safe and respectful environment, families and educators work together to develop confident students who care about themselves, others, and their community. Every day at Laura Irwin Elementary, we are committed to the goal that in every classroom each student learns, grows and feels successful.
The elementary staff is dedicated to assuring that every student progresses educationally. To achieve this objective, communication between the school and home is essential. Regular parent-school contacts can be expected. We invite parents to become actively involved with their son and/or daughter’s education and volunteer to assist with activities at our school. Many of our elementary programs are based on documented research and best practice in the field of elementary level education.
I am truly honored to serve you as principal at Laura Irwin Elementary. We, as a staff, hope you feel that this is your school and you will take an active part in maintaining its traditions and high standards. Laura Irwin Elementary offers a strong program in academics and emphasizes building a strong foundation in reading, writing and mathematics. We know that each student has a special contribution to make and we invite them to take advantage of the opportunities available.
